President Obama Demands Compromise and Bipartisan Resolution on Health Care Reform

President Obama is giving the Republicans a choice, much like a parent would give their unreasonable child. The choice is to compromise for progress and the people or act based on political gain. Problems cannot be fixed if issues and solutions or consequences are not discussed. Health care needs reforming and compromise amongst political parties is necessary for change.

Obama attended the GOP House Conference and spoke to and with the Republicans regarding many issues and proposed solutions on January 29, 2010, including energy, state and federal budgets, jobs, trade, public earmarks, unemployment and healthcare reform.

Obama is the 8th President to try to change health care but the only one ever determined enough to see it through. He recognizes the importance and necessity of reform and is steadfast in not letting the notion die. The President urged the House to disregard political aspirations and partisanship. The basic democratic system requires the ability to hold healthy debates and have a win-some-lose-some mentality.

Bipartisan Resolution on Health Care Reform

The President's demand of bipartisan resolution is both genuine and strategic. Without bipartisanship, the changes Obama wants to implement will continue to be deadlocked. The Republican caucus should know that if they propose good ideas, Obama will support them. Barack is demanding bipartisanship, which is needed to implement change and innovation. He seeks compromise from a party that votes against him and other Democrats rather than the proposed idea, urging Republicans to put their political positions on the backburner.

I admit it is very difficult to discern if Obama's compromise boils down to simple bipartisanship. The Republicans claim health care reform will lead to government regulation and subsidization. While Democrats believe reform is necessary to curb health care costs that threaten our economy. I would like to believe the President does have America's best interest at heart

Obama would like to have a brainstorm session with politicians and healthcare experts to dissect health care legislation to repair long-term liabilities. According to a CNN blog, Obama called health care reform the "single best way to bring down our deficits," adding "nobody has disputed that."

GOP House Conference

President Obama embraces open dialogue and emphasizes the importance of being able to democratically debate and disagree. He is obviously passionate about health care reform and will push forward with the legislation. Obama notes many ideas that Republicans proposed on health care in his speech at the GOP conference. The President said, with regard to supporting those ideas, "Let's be clear, I have."
